Under the programme, a rural market recreating the cultural spaces of the Lo Lo, Mong, Tay, Nung and Dao ethnic groups is set up, displaying their traditional heritages, specialties, handicraft products, and tourist products.

Marketers can taste typical dishes of Cao Bang, such as ‘thang co’ (horse hotpot), ‘com lam’ (rice cooked in bamboo tubes), sticky rice, corn wine, grilled fish and chicken.

They can also explore several traditional crafts, such as winemaking, weaving, incense making, and wax printing, or take part in art performances and folk games.

During this month, the organisers will also reproduce traditional festivals of other ethnic groups residing in the village, including the ritual to pray for the rain of Lo Lo people, the Chol Chnam Thmay Festival of Khmer people, and the ceremony to pray for good health and luck of the Muong ethnic community.
