Organised by the Ministry of Information and Communications in collaboration with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, the award ceremony took place at the Hanoi Opera House on December 11.
This is the second edition of the contest, demonstrating the government’s commitment to improving the material and spiritual lives of the citizens. It emphasises inclusivity and ensuring that no one is left behind in the nation’s development.
The contest, which ran from March 20 to October 15, 2024, attracted 6,863 participants who submitted a total of 10,327 entries, a 40% increase from the first edition. Among the participants, there were 581 international contributors and 265 Vietnamese authors living abroad.
The total prize value for the photo and video categories was nearly 400 million VND, including prises for gold, silver, and bronze medals, along with encouragement awards.
The winning works will be exhibited both domestically and internationally, including a display in Thailand from December 23-27.
