The Ministry of Information and Communications (MoIC), in collaboration with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, officially launched the ‘Happy Vietnam’ photo and video contest 2024 at a ceremony in Hanoi on March 20.
The launch ceremony was also held online, featuring the participation of 63 localities nationwide.
Addressing the ceremony, the Deputy Minister of Information and Communications said the contest is one of the key activities in the propaganda plan on human rights launched by the MoIC in 2024.

Through the contest, the organising committee will seek and promptly honour meaningful moments and stories in all aspects of political, economic, cultural and social life. Thereby, the contest affirms the achievements that Vietnam has gained in ensuring human rights over the past years.
Director General of the Authority of Foreign Information Service under the MoIC Pham Anh Tuan expressed his hope that the contest will mobilise the synergy of people of all classes in the country, the overseas Vietnamese community abroad and international friends for the work of promoting the image of the country and people of Vietnam to the world.

Tuan also noted that this year's contest has many new features in the rules, criteria and prizes.
The entries should be submitted directly to the website https://happy.vietnam.vn from March 20 to August 20.
The organising committee will present one gold medal, two silver medals, three bronze medals, ten consolation prizes and the most voted entry.
