Winners of the “Happy Vietnam 2023” photo and video competition honoured

According to Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung, the 7,000 photos and videos participating in the “Happy Vietnam 2023” photo and video competition have contributed to depicting a colorful and attractive Vietnam.

Winners of the “Happy Vietnam 2023” photo and video competition were honoured at a ceremony held in Hanoi on December 19.

The competition, which focused on human rights in Vietnam, was held online through https://vietnam.vn, a platform for popularising images of Vietnam, by the Authority of Foreign Information Service under the Ministry of Information and Communications.

It attracted more than 7,000 entries from both Vietnam and other countries within a four-month period, from June 15 to October 15.

The best 28 were awarded, including one first prize, one second prize, one third prize, and 10 consolation prizes each for the photo and video categories. The most-voted-for entries of the categories were also honoured.

The first-prize-winning photo is “Bay len Viet Nam” (Flying high, Vietnam) by Bui Cuong Quyet, a reporter of the Vietnam News Agency. Meanwhile, the best video is “Da Nang – Thanh pho da dang sinh hoc” (Da Nang – The city of biodiversity), a short documentary by Nguyen Thanh Paven.

On the occasion, 70 photo entries and 14 videos were also selected for display at an exhibition which opened the same day.
