During the meeting, Ambassador Tran Thi Thu Thin highly appreciated the role of CCIMV in promoting business connections and facilitating trade and investment between Vietnam and Mozambique in recent years. She acknowledged the Chamber’s efforts in supporting Vietnamese businesses in finding partners in Mozambique, providing information on the Vietnamese market to interested Mozambican enterprises, thereby strengthening bilateral economic cooperation.
The Ambassador also proposed that the two sides coordinate to organise several activities in 2025, which also marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (June 25, 1975 –June 25, 2025). These could include a trade and investment promotion forum, local-level connection events, and the publication of a market research handbook, all aimed at boosting business networking and supporting the search for investment opportunities.
Chairman Arlindo congratulated Ambassador Tran Thi Thu Thin on her new posting in Mozambique. He expressed his confidence that in her new role, the Ambassador would contribute to deepening and expanding bilateral economic relations.
Both sides expressed their determination to further develop the Vietnam–Mozambique economic, trade, and investment partnership substantively and effectively.
On the same day, Ambassador Tran Thi Thu Thin also held talks with Ms. Ludmila Mwaa Rafael Maguni, Secretary for External Relations of the Central Committee of the Mozambique Liberation Front Party (FRELIMO).
At the meeting, Ambassador Tran Thi Thu Thin congratulated Ms. Ludmila Maguni on her recent appointment as Secretary for External Relations of FRELIMO’s Central Committee.
The Ambassador expressed confidence that, in her new role, the newly appointed Secretary would leverage her experience and strengths to successfully fulfil her duties, thereby contributing to expanding and strengthening FRELIMO’s external relations with partners, including the traditionally friendly and cooperative ties between the Communist Party of Vietnam and FRELIMO.
Ms Ludmila Maguni affirmed that FRELIMO always values the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two parties and countries and expressed readiness to coordinate with the Vietnamese Embassy in Mozambique to further deepen inter-Party cooperation.
During the meeting, the two sides engaged in active discussions and agreed to effectively implement upcoming bilateral cooperation plans. These efforts will focus on delegation exchanges at all levels, training, knowledge sharing, and experience exchange, particularly in areas of FRELIMO’s interest such as socio-economic development, Party building, safeguarding ideological foundations, identifying and countering hostile tactics in cyberspace, and innovating information and communication work.
