NDO – The Police Department for the Administrative Management of Social Order (C06) under the Ministry of Public Security will study and integrate travel papers into citizens’ QR codes when people make declarations through VNEID, a recently-launched electronic medical declaration application.

The information was released on September 9 by Senior Lieutenant Colonel To Anh Dung, Deputy Director of C06 at a press briefing held about the deployment of a number of pieces of software to support COVID-19 prevention and control.

Accordingly, C06 has launched software to manage citizens suspected of being infected with COVID-19. This software makes it easy to update the status of the COVID-19 infection situation and the risk of infection. Information is available on the national population database, and is to be applied across the country.

In order to support policy beneficiaries, C06 has also launched a citizen management software for COVID-19 support policies. This software is also designed based on the system of the national population database.

So far, all provinces and cities nationwide have used this software. Police forces of communes, wards and townships have coordinated with People's Committees at the same level to update information on 547,748 policy beneficiaries and have distributed allowances in 486,942 cases.
