The seminar was among the activities to celebrate the 61st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba (December 2, 1960 - 2021), and at the same time aimed to contribute to educating the young generations of the two countries about the time-honoured friendship between the two countries, strengthening exchanges and mutual understanding in general and exchanging experiences on Youth Union work and youth movements between the two countries' youth unions in particular.

At the seminar, Vietnamese and Cuban youth delegates had the opportunity to listen to many leaders and diplomats, such as Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Orlando Nicolás Hernandez Guillén and Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Le Van Thanh, among others, sharing about the traditional friendship between the two countries.

Delegates visit an exhibition entitled “Cuba in the eyes of Vietnamese children”.

The delegates also shared about the culture and people of both countries and discussed the preservation and promotion of traditions, solidarity, friendship and comprehensive strategic cooperation between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Communist Party of Cuba.

On the occasion, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee organised an exhibition entitled “Cuba in the eyes of Vietnamese children”, featuring dozens of unique works which won high prizes at a painting contest on Vietnam-Cuba relations in 2020.
