Participants at the event stressed that the revolution has had enormous impact on the political and social situation of many countries while encouraging peoples in colonies and dependent countries to fight for freedom and independence.

The revolution had great influence on the victory of the Vietnamese revolution in particular. Vietnamese people always remember the precious support of the Soviet people in the past in winning glorious victories during wartime and in the national construction and development.

On the morning of the same day, a delegation of the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Parliamentarian Group laid flowers at the statue of Vladimir Ilych Lenin at Chi Lang Park in Hanoi.

The delegation was led by Phan Xuan Dung, Party Central Committee member, Chairman of the National Assembly’s Committee for Science, Technology and Environment, and Chairman of the Group.

The delegates expressed their respect for V.I.Lenin, a great political figure and revolutionary thinker who was the first leader of the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR), for his great contributions to the world’s revolutionary cause.
