Exhibitions highlight 75-year history of Vietnam People’s Army

A series of exhibitions open in Ho Chi Minh City on December 19 to mark the 75th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army and the 30th All-People Defence Festival (December 22).

In Nguyen Hue street, an exhibition entitled ‘Heroic Vietnam People’s Army – Proud of 75-year establishment and development’ displays more than 100 photos recounting valuable historical milestones of the Vietnamese army.

Works on display also feature on the close relationship between Vietnamese army and people as well as international cooperation activities between Vietnamese army and international armies.

At the same time, photo exhibitions kicked off in Dong Khoi street, Chi Lang Park and Labour Cultural Palace under themes of ‘Ho Chi Minh City builds a strong all-people defence’ and ‘For peace in the homeland’s seas and islands’.

The exhibits highlight the vital role played by armed forces and self-defence force in building a strong all-people defence, contributing to the national construction and defence.

They also illustrate the great attachment of the city’s authorities, organisations and people towards the country’s seas and islands, as well as their responsibilities in safeguarding the national sovereignty over its seas and islands.
