The services will involve support for those who have lost or had their jobs suspended as well as support for household businesses.

The Government Office said it is working with the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, Vietnam Social Security, the Bank for Social Policy of Vietnam and VNPT to build the technical solutions for such services.

According to Government Office Chairman Mai Tien Dung, 33,000 dossiers have been submitted via the Portal from its opening on December 9, 2019 to April 16, 2020.

The Portal has also created 122,000 accounts and recorded 30.5 million hits from those looking to handle administrative procedures.

Last week the government approved a VND62 trillion (US$2.6 billion) package to provide direct financial aid to support those badly hit by the COVID-19 epidemic.
