It was part of a series of events held across the country to mark the 90th founding anniversary of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front (VFF).

The head of government took the occasion to extend greetings to the VFF staff at all levels and underline their role in the country’s overall achievements.

He noted that as Vietnam is facing severe floods and storms in the central region, it is necessary to further promote the spirit of unity in order to overcome the difficulties and move the country forward.

PM Phuc asked the VFF to continue making contributions to socio-economic development, especially in preventing the spread of Covid-19.

On the same day, Head of the Central Commission for Organisation Pham Minh Chinh also attended the national solidarity festival in Thanh Thanh District, Thanh Hoa Province.

He presented VND800 million (US$34,500) to Thanh Hoa Province towards the construction of 20 houses for poor and policy beneficiary families.
