Phu Tho hailed for comprehensive anti-corruption efforts

Corruption preventive measures have been implemented comprehensively in Phu Tho province, thanks to the provincial Party Committee’s direction on concretising the Party and State's guidelines and policies on anti-corruption efforts.

The assessment was made by the Central Steering Committee on Corruption Prevention and Control, led by its Deputy Head, Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh, at a working session with the Phu Tho provincial Party Committee on March 27.

At the meeting, the working mission announced the results of its corruption inspection and supervision at a number of agencies and units in Phu Tho province.

According to the mission, Phu Tho has made efforts to realise the Party and State's anti-corruption policies, focusing on all three fields of politics, ideology, and organisation with unity and consistency in the implementation process.

The local Party committees have implemented a range of policies to strengthen the inspection and supervision of anti-corruption and anti-wastefulness in fundamental construction investment, ensuring major projects are swiftly put into use to create economic and social development momentum for the province, as well as consolidating confidence among Party officials, Party members, and local people.

The inspection, supervision, and enforcement of the Party's discipline continued to be strengthened, helping boost the effective prevention and handling of violations committed by local Party organisations and Party members.

Praising Phu Tho’s results province in the inspection, supervision and fighting against corruption, Deputy PM Binh emphasised that such results are an important basis for the Party, State and the Central Steering Committee deciding a number of important anti-corruption policies and solutions in Phu Tho in the near future.

The Deputy PM, who is also a Politburo member, asked Phu Tho authorities to strictly handle violations and timely prevent negative acts regarding corruption and wastefulness, while strengthening the inspection and supervision over the bodies responsible for conducting legal proceedings against serious economic and corruption cases in the locality.
