23rd Shangri-La Dialogue wraps up: Viet Nam leaves distinct mark

After three days of discussions with six plenary sessions and three special ones, the 23rd Shangri-La Dialogue, Asia's leading security forum, concluded in Singapore on May 31 amid a world continuing to face many unpredictable changes, from strategic competition between major powers and protracted conflicts to non-traditional security challenges.

Top leader of Viet Nam pays state visit to Philippines

After concluding his successful state visit to Singapore and delivering a keynote address at the 23rd Shangri-La Dialogue, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee and President of Viet Nam To Lam, his spouse Ngo Phuong Ly, and the high-ranking delegation of the country departed for a state visit to the Philippines from May 31 to June 1.

Vietnamese leader receives foreign defence ministers on Shangri-la Dialogue sidelines

The ministers shared the view that General Secretary and President Lam’s delivering of a keynote address at the 23rd Shangri-La Dialogue reflected the international community’s recognition of Viet Nam’s role, voice and contributions to regional strategic issues, and demonstrated its strong interest in the country’s perspectives and approaches to promoting dialogue, building trust, enhancing cooperation, and addressing common challenges.
