The Viet Nam Fatherland Front (VFF) always values and treasures the valuable contributions made by overseas Vietnamese (OVs), Chairwoman of the VFF Central Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai affirmed, stressing that the Party and State consistently regard the OV community as an inseparable part and an important resource of the Vietnamese nation.

Ho Chi Minh City hosts pre-Tet gathering with overseas Vietnamese

Nguyen Van Duoc, Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee and Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee, attributed the southern metropolis’s socio-economic development achievements partly to important contributions by OV entrepreneurs, scientists, experts, and intellectuals worldwide through investment activities, knowledge transfer, market connection, and promotion of the city’s image.

With the participation of nearly 100 overseas Vietnamese golfers from 12 countries, the 8th Worldwide Overseas Vietnamese Golf Championship is taking place from January 4 to 6, 2026, promising to deliver lively and compelling competition while also helping to strengthen solidarity within the global Vietnamese community.

Experts praise inclusion of overseas Vietnamese in policy consultation

The collection of public feedback, including from overseas Vietnamese (OVs), on the draft documents for the 14th National Party Congress reflects the consistent view that Vietnamese expatriates are an inseparable part of the nation, according to Dr Nguyen Thai Chinh, a specialist in earth science and satellite geodesy and a member of the Viet Nam–Germany Innovation Network (VGI).
