Thirty-eight outstanding young people with disabilities honoured

A total of 38 outstanding young people with disabilities were honoured for their positive contributions to society at a programme held in Hanoi on October 7.

Themed ‘Shining Vietnamese Spirit’, the programme was co-organised by the Vietnam Youth Federation, National Committee for Vietnamese Persons with Disabilities, and TCP Vietnam Company.

It has been held since 2013 to honour exemplary youths with disabilities aged 35 years and below who have overcome their physical challenges to affirm their values and contribute to the community.

A total of 237 outstanding youths with disabilities nationwide have been awarded under the programme.

This year’s honorees were selected out of 118 nominees from 68 units and organisations across the country.
