Vice President works with Internal Political Security Department

Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh on August 18 paid a working visit to the Department of Internal Political Security under the Ministry of Public Security, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the traditional day of the Vietnam People’s Public Security Forces (August 19, 1945-2020).

Speaking at the working session, Vice President Thinh extended regards and congratulations from Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong and herself to the department’s cadres and soldiers, applauding their significant feats and contributions to protecting the safety and peace of the Party and people.

The world situation is evolving complicatedly, causing multidimensional impacts on national security and setting heavy tasks for the People’s Public Security Forces in general and the internal political security force in particular, she said.

In that context, the Vice President asked the department to continue to seriously grasp the Party’s stances on national security and the safeguarding of national security and international political security, as well as to actively prevent, detect and disable sabotage acts by hostile forces, and to fight and criticise negative and false manifestations.

During the time when the all-level Party congresses take place, towards the 13th National Party Congress, the internal political security forces nationwide should effectively perform the assigned political tasks and promptly prevent acts of defaming and discrediting officials and igniting international division, she stated.

On the occasion, Vice President Thinh presented a souvenir to the department and certificates of merit to five individuals of the unit who have displayed outstanding performances in the work of safeguarding internal political security.
