On the afternoon of June 29, the organising committee of DIFF 2025 officially announced that the fireworks teams from Viet Nam and China will compete in the final round, scheduled for the evening of July 12.

The competing teams were evaluated based on several key criteria: uniqueness, design concept, and performance theme; creativity, diversity, and intensity of colour effects; synchronisation and harmony between the music and the fireworks; the quality of the finale; and the overall emotional response and scoring from the judges.

Z121 Vina Pyrotech from Viet Nam, a first-time participant at DIFF, competed in the second show of the festival. Their performance, titled “Aspiration to Rise”, lit up the night sky over Da Nang with a depiction of the city’s journey from past to present, towards a promising future.

The performance was highly praised for its pyrotechnic techniques, innovative and captivating visual effects, compelling storytelling, and emotionally resonant musical arrangement.

Competing in the third show, Jiangxi Yanfeng from China showcased their expertise with custom-designed fireworks, particularly a multi-layered colour-shifting firework line that moved with a dynamic fluidity, reminiscent of scenes from a mythical film. Their meticulous composition and precise synchronisation of fireworks with the music left a strong impression on both the audience and the judging panel.

Both teams delivered standout performances that blended advanced technical prowess with distinct cultural identities, perfectly capturing the spirit of the DIFF 2025 theme: “Da Nang – The New Era.”

During the press meeting, the organisers held a draw to determine the performance order for the final night. As a result, Jiangxi Yanfeng from China will perform first, followed by Z121 Vina Pyrotech from Viet Nam.

On the final night of DIFF 2025, each team will be provided with nearly 7,000 fireworks shells by the organisers and are required to design their displays accordingly. With the finale themed “Welcoming the New Era”, the audience can expect a spectacular showcase of vision and ambition from the city on the banks of the Han River.
