This year's Viet Nam Day offered visitors a vibrant showcase of Vietnamese culture through a wide range of activities. Visitors had the opportunity to view an exhibition introducing Viet Nam's landscapes and people, explore food stalls and displays of signature Vietnamese products, and take part in cultural exchange activities highlighting the distinctive values of Vietnamese culture, nurtured over thousands of years of history.

Many Slovak people and international visitors expressed their appreciation for Vietnamese cultural values, spending time learning about the country's history, customs and traditional arts, while also enjoying Vietnamese cuisine.

Many visitors also spoke highly of the dynamism, spirit of integration and positive contributions of the Vietnamese community to Slovakia's cultural and social life, while expressing the hope that more cultural exchange events of this kind would be organised in the future.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Slovakia Pham Truong Giang affirmed that the Vietnamese community in Slovakia has become an integral part of local society, making practical contributions to the country's socio-economic development while helping foster the friendship between Viet Nam and Slovakia.

Ambassador Pham Truong Giang noted that throughout the process of integration, the Vietnamese community has continued to preserve the nation's core values, including strong family ties, a commitment to learning, solidarity, diligence and Vietnamese cultural identity, thereby enriching Slovakia's diverse cultural landscape.

The ambassador expressed confidence that, following the elevation of relations between Viet Nam and Slovakia to a Strategic Partnership in April 2026, the Vietnamese community in Slovakia would continue to serve as a bridge between the two countries, while younger generations of Vietnamese origin would carry forward the mission of connecting the two cultures and strengthening Viet Nam-Slovakia friendship.

Viet Nam Day is not only a cultural festival but also an opportunity to present the image of a dynamic, tradition-rich and globally integrated Viet Nam, while highlighting the positive contributions of the Vietnamese community to Slovakia's economic, cultural and social life.

Through Viet Nam Day, the Vietnamese community in Slovakia also wished to convey a meaningful message to local people and international friends, that cultural diversity is a source of strength; that successful integration goes hand in hand with preserving cultural identity; and that when nurtured through mutual understanding, respect and sharing, bonds among different communities become the foundation of an open, inclusive and sustainable society.
