The Viet Nam–ASEAN Economic Cooperation Forum is an important annual event, held on a rotating basis among countries in the region since 2017. It is aimed at promoting economic, trade, and investment connectivity, while enhancing the competitiveness and brand value of ASEAN enterprises.

The year 2026 marks the forum’s 10th edition, bringing together a large number of business leaders, international industry associations, experts, and investors, featuring in-depth discussion sessions, B2B networking activities and brand promotion initiatives.

Under the cooperation agreement between Arobid and IBF Viet Nam Singapore, the two sides have agreed to implement a shared digital infrastructure model for global trade and investment promotion, operating on an artificial intelligence platform. The initiative aims to build a cross-border trading ecosystem connecting enterprises, organisations, and investors on a unified platform.

In this framework, IBF Viet Nam Singapore will serve as a focal point for connecting businesses and investors in Singapore and internationally, while expanding trade activities on Arobid’s digital platform.

Previously, Arobid’s digital infrastructure has been deployed in several international markets, including the Republic of Korea (RoK), the US, and Singapore, providing a practical foundation for standardising a global digital infrastructure model for trade and investment promotion.

In 2026, the company plans to operate around 120 online trade fairs and exhibitions, establish tens of thousands of digital booths, and facilitate continuous trade flow in the digital environment.

Speaking at the event, Arobid’s Chairman Tran Van Chin noted that the company does not directly organise trade fairs but focuses on operating digital infrastructure for trade and investment promotion, allowing global organisations to participate and utilise it under a shared-use model, thereby improving connectivity efficiency and reducing organisational costs.

Meanwhile, Chairwoman of IBF Viet Nam Singapore Dang Thi Minh Anh, remarked that participation in Arobid’s global digital infrastructure offers significant opportunities for Singaporean and international enterprises to access the Vietnamese and regional markets, particularly as Viet Nam–Singapore relations were upgraded to a comprehensive strategic partnership in March 2025.

Also addressing the event, Trade Counsellor of Viet Nam in Singapore Cao Xuan Thang, stated that ASEAN is demonstrating remarkable resilience amid global economic uncertainties. Viet Nam in particular is emerging as a dynamic and promising destination thanks to its stable growth, young workforce, and increasingly competitive business environment. Participation in free trade agreements has enabled Viet Nam to expand access to major markets while positioning itself as a gateway to the ASEAN region of nearly 700 million people.

Thang also said that Viet Nam is accelerating digital transformation, innovation and green growth, opening numerous cooperation opportunities in areas such as e-commerce, fintech, renewable energy, and high-tech agriculture. The Viet Nam Trade Office in Singapore remains committed to supporting international businesses in exploring the market, fostering trade connections, and promoting investment in Viet Nam.

The signing of the cooperation agreement between Arobid and IBF Viet Nam Singapore is regarded as a concrete step towards implementing Viet Nam’s major policies on developing the digital economy and promoting e-commerce and innovation, while also contributing to strengthening regional economic linkages in the digital era.
