Addressing the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang emphasised that 2026 is the first year Viet Nam has stepped into a new phase of development after 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam. It is also the first year of arrangement of administrative units, opening a new space of development for localities and the whole country, thereby driving more forces to promote potential, evoke creativity and aim for faster and more sustainable development.
During 14 days of summer camp, participants will travel nearly 1.500 kilometres from Ha Noi to Khanh Hoa together. They will visit President Ho Chi Minh’s hometown, historical sites and national cultural heritage sites; meet local people from different regions, participate in volunteer activities, engage with young people in the country and preserve and promote Vietnamese. They also visit Explorascience Quy Nhon, exchange with future officers from Vietnam Naval Academy, offer incense at the Gac Ma Soldiers Memorial Site, and visit the Hoang Sa Exhibition House.

The Deputy Foreign Minister expressed her hope that the participants will spend time observing, talking and experiencing as much as possible, because the most precious thing that the summer camp brings to them is not only how many destinations they have visited but also how they feel about the land and people of Viet Nam.
Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang added that wherever they are, they are always proud to be Vietnamese, preserve the Vietnamese language, national cultural identity and stay connected with their homeland. She also encourages them to share with international friends the image of peaceful, friendly and dynamic Viet Nam and bring their knowledge and experience to make great contribute to the homeland’s development.
