Viet Nam Today was established under Decision No. 747/QD-TTg dated April 11, 2025 by the Prime Minister on the provision of national external television services. The channel is tasked with providing external communication about the Party’s guidelines, the State’s policies and laws, promoting the image of Viet Nam and its people to the world, and contributing to the effective implementation of external information work.

Vietnam Today serves as “a window on Viet Nam”, offering global audiences an objective and vivid picture of Viet Nam today – from current affairs, politics, economy, culture, tourism, and environment to innovation and digital transformation.

The channel will showcase the nation’s unique values, traditional identity and modern outlook, reflecting Viet Nam’s journey of growth and deep integration into the global community.

Vietnam Today targets audiences worldwide: the international community interested in Viet Nam’s situation and development; politicians and policymakers seeking reliable, objective information; scholars, experts, and researchers requiring access to data and in-depth analysis; investors looking for business opportunities; travellers eager to explore new destinations; and international friends who admire and support Viet Nam.
