The event aimed to gather feedback from associations and businesses on enhancing two-way trade, including increasing imports from the US, as part of Viet Nam’s efforts to foster a fair and sustainable trade balance.
Speaking at the conference, Minister of Agriculture and Environment Do Duc Duy said that the ministry has introduced various measures and issued an export promotion programme targeting the US market.
The plan highlights key priorities, which include: enhancing supply chain and raw material area transparency; adopting digital technologies for traceability and quality control; building sectoral brands based on compliance and sustainable development; and promoting green transition programmes in agriculture to meet increasingly stringent environmental standards in key markets such as the US, EU and Japan.
