As a social organisation in the cultural and artistic field, the centre focuses on scientific research and cultural promotion to meet societal needs. As a member of APPA, it aims to implement strategies for preserving Vietnam’s traditional arts, particularly UNESCO-recognised intangible cultural heritage forms.

The centre’s establishment stems from the dedication of People’s Artist Thanh Hoa, who has long been committed to connecting society with artists and cultural policymakers, and widely promoting traditional arts domestically and internationally.

Director of the centre, People’s Artist Thanh Ngoan, stated, “Following its launch, the centre will prioritise collaboration with social organisations, academies, educational institutions, and training centres in Vietnam and abroad. Our goal is to preserve, develop, and promote traditional performing arts through research, education, and performances.”

Vietnamese traditional performing arts represent a priceless cultural treasure, shaped over thousands of years. However, these heritage arts face challenges in today’s rapidly changing world. The centre’s establishment is essential in bridging the past and present, serving as a hub for preserving and teaching invaluable traditional techniques while expanding their reach to domestic and international audiences.
