The event, jointly organised by the Prague 6 district authorities and the Farmers’ Market Association, attracted large numbers of local residents and international visitors.

Featuring more than 100 stalls representing diverse cultures, the festival transformed central Prague into a colourful cultural space where flavours, sounds and traditional customs from across the globe came together. Visitors had the opportunity not only to sample signature dishes from various countries but also to enjoy folk performances, traditional music and distinctive cultural showcases.

The highlight of the festival is the culinary section, with embassies presenting some of the most representative dishes of their respective countries. A unique feature of the event was that many of the dishes were prepared and served directly by diplomatic staff, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere that encouraged cultural exchange and brought people closer together.

Amid the bustling crowds, the Vietnamese booth stood out with traditional dishes rich in the flavours of home, including fried spring rolls, fried prawns, sweet fried cakes and a variety of regional specialities. Long queues of visitors patiently waited to sample Vietnamese cuisine, while many took photographs beside the simple yet iconic conical hat, a familiar symbol of Vietnamese culture.

This marked the ninth consecutive year that the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic, in cooperation with Vietnamese businesses, has participated in the festival to promote the image of Viet Nam, its people and its cultural identity to international friends. Through its traditional cuisine, distinctive cultural features and warm hospitality, Viet Nam once again left a positive impression on local residents and visitors from around the world.

More than simply a celebration of food and the arts, the Embassy Food and Culture Festival serves as a bridge for fostering exchange, mutual understanding and stronger ties among different communities. The active participation of the Vietnamese community and Vietnamese businesses at the event further demonstrated the increasingly significant role of Vietnamese people in the economic, cultural and social life of the Czech Republic.
