Vietnamese women's football team welcomed at German embassy

On June 1, the Germany Embassy in Hanoi held a reception for the Vietnamese women's football team.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Head of the German Embassy in Hanoi, Simon Kreye congratulated the Vietnamese women's team on qualifying for the Women's World Cup, for the first time and wished the team great success at the competition.

For their part, Coach Mai Duc Chung and Captain Huynh Nhu expressed their thanks to the embassy for the reception.

They stated that the friendly match with the German women's national team, which is among the top teams in the world’s ranking, will help the Vietnamese team draw many valuable lessons.

The match will be held on June 24 in Offenbach city in Germany, as part of the training session of the Vietnamese women's football team from June 5 to 24, in preparation for the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023.

Following the function, Vietnamese players take part in a shooting competition, which generated much excitement among participants.
