The recognition honours the determination and innovation of Vingroup’s staff, who completed the centre 15 months ahead of schedule.
The National Exposition Centre is a key national project and among the ten largest exhibition venues in the world. Covering 900,000 m2, it is designed as a new international destination for major trade fairs and exhibitions, and a landmark of Ha Noi’s development.
Groundbreaking took place in August 2024, and by June 2025 the site was completed – an unprecedented pace given the technical challenges of constructing its vast steel dome.
As both investor and general contractor, Vingroup mobilised maximum resources, coordinating thousands of workers and engineers along with hundreds of contractors and heavy machinery, working around the clock in three shifts daily. The group emphasised strict quality control and safety standards while ensuring rapid progress.
Speaking at the event, Nguyen Viet Quang, Vice Chairman and CEO of Vingroup, said the honour was a great source of pride for the company’s workforce. He pledged that Vingroup would continue to uphold its pioneering spirit in ensuring the successful operation of the centre, turning Ha Noi and Viet Nam into a leading destination for political, economic, cultural, and social events in the region and beyond.
With its iconic Kim Quy Exhibition Hall – one of the world’s largest circular halls at 130,000 m2 – and facilities such as outdoor squares, an international convention centre, and green public spaces, the National Exposition Centre is expected to host major global events and redefine Viet Nam’s role in the international MICE industry.
