Construction of the eco-park will cover the entirety of Vu Yen island, which is spread out over 872 hectares in the districts of Thuy Nguyen and Hai An and is home to the Ruot Lon, Bach Dang and Cam rivers.
Highlights of the eco-park include, a 36-hole international golf course located in the heart of the island as the main attraction of the complex, while the entertainment area will include shopping malls, dining areas, an aquarium, and a water park Ecological villas will be built in front of the river on the north of the island.
The group has worked to preserve the island's natural beauty and biodiversity, an ecological park is also planned to occupy a large area adjacent to the Bach Dang river where tourists can enjoy outdoor activities amongst natural settings. Furthermore, a conservation area will be built to improve the quality of the landscape and act to protect the environment.
Additionally, a 1.5 km cable car system has been built to connect the mainland and the island.
Group Vice President Nguyen Viet Quang said that Hai Phong had become one of the key areas of the group's investment.
He added that once it has been completed in 2020, the complex will become an important economic centre, creating jobs and contributing to the socio-economic development of not only Hai Phong city, but also the surrounding areas.
