This is the first largest festival of Bac Kan Province on the occasion of the Lunar New Year Festival. It was listed among national intangible cultural heritages.

Before the festival's opening, the delegates offered incense at An Ma Temple, on an island in the middle of Ba Be Lake, to pray for peace and prosperity.

The annual event begins with a procession of 15 trays of local specialties as offerings to gods from 15 communes and towns in the district.
