VUFO meets with press agencies

On June 19, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) held a meeting in Hanoi with journalists and reporters representing press agencies on the occasion of the 98th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2023).

Sending congratulations to journalists, reporters, Nguyen Phuong Nga, President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations, affirmed that the achievements that the Union has achieved in the past time have had active support and cooperation of press agencies.

At the same time, she expressed her wish that the press agencies would continue to stand side by side with the VUFO in order to contribute to improving the effectiveness of information and communication on people-to-people diplomacy in the coming time.

At the meeting, representatives of the VUFO and press agencies discussed possible directions to strengthen cooperation between the two sides in the coming time.

Nguyen Phuong Nga emphasised that people-to-people diplomacy is one of the three pillars of comprehensive and modern diplomacy. She expressed her hope that comments from journalists and reporters would contribute to widely spreading information about the VUFO's activities, as well as people's foreign affairs in general, to the people in the country and international friends.

Journalists and reporters shared their experiences in reporting on the VUFO's activities and expressed interest in upcoming events organised by the VUFO.

Thanks to the VUFO's active support in recent time, representatives of the press agencies proposed a number of specific measures to enhance the effectiveness of coordination between the two sides.
