Themed ‘Aspiration to develop the country’, this year’s contest attracted more than 1.2 million students, from nearly 7,900 educational facilities in 57 cities and provinces, as well as 28 universities, colleges, and institutes across the country.
The entrants were encouraged to select their most inspirational books, which fuel their responsibility and contributions to national development.
According to the organisers, the contestants not only showed their creativity and writing skills in their entries but also suggested sound models, plans, and solutions, encouraging the reading habit in the community.
At the award ceremony, two grand prizes were presented to Nguyen Thanh Mai, a second grader from Tran Nhan Tong Elementary School in Nam Dinh province, and Huynh Thi Kim Thu, an 11th grader from Nguyen Dinh Chieu High School in Tien Giang province.
A total of 8 first, 16 second, 52 third and 180 consolation prizes were also awarded to other outstanding entrants and collectives, with the highest number of contestants.
