Work starts on Duong River bridge

Nhan Dan - Work began yesterday on a bridge spanning the Duong River in Van Ninh commune, Gia Binh district, the biggest project in the northern province of Bac Ninh so far.

The VND 1.3 trillion (US$65.4 million) project goes through Gia Binh and Que Vo districts and will connect provincial Highway 282 with National Highway 18.

The project is being constructed by the Hanel Corporation under the build-transfer (BT) model. It includes 2.8 km of road, a 1.6 km bridge over the Duong River and five intersections with National Highway 18.

This project is of great importance to Bac Ninh province as it will help attract more investment to the province to promote local socio-economic development.
