* The Ukrainian parliament has received a resignation letter from Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, Parliament Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk said Monday. David Arakhamia, chairman of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction, said that lawmakers would consider Svyrydenko's resignation letter at the next parliamentary meeting.

* Lithuania's new Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevicius and 14 ministers took office on Tuesday. The Lithuanian parliament on Tuesday approved the new cabinet and its government program by 72 votes in favor, 29 against and four abstentions. Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda signed a decree on July 6 approving the cabinet.

* Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) said Tuesday that it had thwarted a large-scale drone attack planned by Ukraine's Security Service against a strategic enterprise in the Moscow region.

* Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev said on Tuesday that Bulgaria has no intention of joining the Coalition of the Willing that supports military aid to Ukraine, stressing that the Russia-Ukraine conflict cannot be resolved through military means.

* The Council of the European Union said on Tuesday that it had adopted a decision to formally conclude the Interim Agreement on Trade (ITA) between the European Union (EU) and Mexico, completing the EU's internal procedures for the agreement to enter into force.

* The Multinational Force for Ukraine (MNFU) will conduct joint military exercises in countries neighboring Ukraine "in the coming months," French President Emmanuel Macron announced on Monday. Macron unveiled the plan at a joint press conference following a summit of the Coalition of the Willing in Paris.
