The tournament is jointly organised by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in coordination with the Overseas Vietnamese Golf Association and relevant partners, with the support of sponsors.
The Worldwide Overseas Vietnamese Golf Championship is a prestigious annual sporting event created to provide overseas Vietnamese with an opportunity to network, improve their physical fitness, enhance connections, and maintain close ties with their homeland and country.
Featuring a professional competition format held continuously over three days, the tournament requires that athletes not only possess strong physical fitness but also demonstrate composure, technical skill, and sound competitive strategy.
In order to enhance professional standards and diversify the experience for participants, the organising committee has selected three leading golf courses in the southern region as competition venues, including Tan Son Nhat Golf Course (Ho Chi Minh City); Royal Long An Golf & Country Club (Long An Province); and Léman Cu Chi Golf Course (Ho Chi Minh City).
According to Nguyen Trung Kien, Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese and head of the organising committee: “Beyond the goal of identifying outstanding golfers, the tournament also serves as a bridge to strengthen bonds and solidarity between overseas Vietnamese communities and their homeland and country.”
