Within the ceremony, youth union member conveyed a message on “Recovering key species for ecosystem restoration”.
The event was part of a series of activities in response to the World Wildlife Day 2022 call by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the World Wide Fund for Nature in Vietnam (WWF-Vietnam), with support from a biodiversity conservation and sustainable forest management project funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID), and is taking place from March 3-6 in Quang Nam, Quang Tri, Lam Dong and Cat Tien National Park.
It aimed to strengthen the commitment of departments and sectors as well as the participation of the community to join hands in protecting and restoring wild animal and plant species, restoring ecosystems, and conserving biodiversity for a green planet.

Within the framework of the ceremony, representatives of departments, branches, local authorities and many organisations and individuals signed a commitment to protect and restore wild species.
The Lam Dong Provincial Centre for Disease Control also provided information on the risk of emergence and transmission of emerging infectious diseases related to human-wildlife interactions while the Provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment launched the contest on learning about the natural world and wildlife through paintings and photos in Lam Dong Province in 2022.
The youth union of agencies in Lam Dong also called on union members and young people to join hands in contributing to the effective implementation of the Youth Month 2022 plan, as well as in ensuring social security and the living environment of wild animals and plants, biodiversity conservation, ecosystem restoration, response to climate change, and other voluntary activities to build new style rural areas and civilised urban areas.
