The Ha Noi Transport Corporation (Transerco) deployed 53 new electric buses on four routes, namely 22A, 22B, 30, and 50, replacing diesel-powered vehicles in early October 2026. The transition enhances the quality of public passenger transport services while advancing the capital’s roadmap towards eco-friendly mobility.
Specifically, Cau Buou Bus Enterprise, a subsidiary of Transerco, deployed 28 electric buses on October 5 along Route 22A, linking Gia Lam Bus Station with Kien Hung Urban Area, and Route 22B, connecting Giap Bat Bus Station with Do Nghia.
Southern Ha Noi Coach Enterprise introduced 25 electric buses into service on October 6 on Route 30, connecting My Dinh Bus Station with Gamuda Urban Area, and Route 50, linking Long Bien with An Lac Urban Area in Hoai Duc.
Beyond their electric powertrains, the new vehicles are equipped with a range of modern amenities. Their low-floor design makes boarding and alighting easier, while accessibility features for people with disabilities enhance mobility for all passenger groups.
The deployment of electric buses on these routes is designed to elevate fleet quality and travel conditions for commuters, while curbing fossil fuel consumption in public transit. It also encourages greater bus ridership, helping to ease traffic congestion while advancing towards sustainable urban mobility.
Under the plan, by the end of 2026, Transerco aims to electrify more than 20 bus routes, deploying over 275 electric buses.
This forms a key part of the company’s green transition roadmap, fostering a modern and eco-friendly public transport system in Ha Noi.
