Arts programme hymns President Ho Chi Minh’s life and revolutionary career

An arts programme entitled ‘His Name Shines Forever’ was staged at the Au Co Theatre in Ha Noi on May 19 to mark the 136th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (1890–2026).

The 80‑minute programme, broadcast live on Viet Nam Television, was directed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and co‑organised by Van Hoa (Culture) Newspaper together with relevant agencies.

It was attended by Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and President of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Central Committee; Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Prime Minister; and Lam Thi Phuong Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee and Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; among others.

The programme was arranged in three parts, featuring performances retracing President Ho Chi Minh’s journey to seek a path to national salvation, honouring his thought, morality and lifestyle, and affirming Viet Nam’s achievements as well as its optimistic, integrative and striving spirit in the course of development.

The performances were brought to the stage by renowned singers such as People’s Artist Quoc Hung, Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan, Anh Tho, Quang Ha, together with artists from the Viet Nam National Academy of Music and the Selena Dance Troupe.

The event aimed to celebrate the life, revolutionary career and enduring legacies of President Ho Chi Minh, while expressing the nation’s profound love for and gratitude towards him — a great leader, a Hero of National Liberation, and an eminent world cultural figure.
