The event saw the participation of 138 Vietnamese enterprises and over 100 Chinese enterprises.

Zhejiang, located approximately 3,000 kilometres from Lao Cai, has a network of high-speed rail and expressways, helping to transport goods within 1-2 days.

According to Vietnam’s customs data, two-way trade between Vietnam and Zhejiang reached over 8 billion USD in 2020, of which Zhejiang imported 2 billion USD, mostly garments, iron and steel, natural rubber, plastic pellets, clinker and limestone.

In Lao Cai Province, there are currently over 200 enterprises providing export-import services, which act as an agency between the Vietnamese and Chinese suppliers.

According to the Director of the Lao Cai Trade Promotion Agency Ha Duc Binh, the conference is an opportunity for enterprises, production and service facilities throughout Lao Cai and Vietnam in general to meet and connect with enterprises of Zhejiang and its neighbouring provinces.
