The MoU, signed between Dak Lak's Department of Industry and Trade and Viet Nhat Real Estate JSC, a member of Central Retail Viet Nam, was announced at the province's planning announcement and investment promotion conference on June 27.

Under the agreement, the two sides will cooperate on studying and assessing investment opportunities for retail projects in several localities, including Tuy Hoa Ward, Buon Ho Ward, Quang Phu Commune, Krong Pac Commune and Dong Hoa Ward.

Olivier Langlet, Chief Executive Officer of Central Retail Viet Nam, said the planned investment aligns with the group's "Better for Viet Nam" strategy, which focuses on promoting locally made products, enhancing food quality and becoming the country's leading sustainable retailer.

He expressed confidence that the agreement would pave the way for expanded investment in Dak Lak, contributing to the province's socio-economic development and supporting Viet Nam's goal of achieving double-digit economic growth in the coming years.

He added that the group's GO! shopping centres and mini go! supermarkets would help stimulate consumer spending, strengthen supply chains and bring modern retail services closer to local communities.

Central Retail already operates the GO! Buon Ma Thuot shopping centre and hypermarket in Dak Lak. The retailer has helped bring the province's agricultural and One Commune One Product (OCOP) goods, including coffee, avocados, durians and mushrooms, to GO! stores nationwide, while gradually expanding their access to international markets through Central Retail's global distribution network.
