Conference seeks to enhance quality of Party newspapers

A conference aiming to enhance the quality of Party newspapers nationwide is scheduled to take place in the central city of Da Nang on November 12, gathering the leaders of Party newspapers, media, technology and business experts.

This is the first time that such an event has been held by Nhan Dan Newspaper, in partnership with the Central Commission for Communication and Education and the Vietnamese Journalists Association.

The conference is an opportunity for Party newspapers to discuss important matters to overcome the difficulties and challenges amid a changing media landscape.

The conference aims to affirm the role and enhance the quality of the system of Party newspapers and spread the spirit of innovation in both form and quality to make Party newspapers truly appealing to the public.

Key speakers include Nhan Dan’s Editor-in-chief Le Quoc Minh, Deputy Head of the Central Commission for Communication and Education Tran Thanh Lam, Deputy Minister of Information and Communication Nguyen Thanh Lam and Editor-in-chief of the Government’s Online Newspaper Nguyen Hong Sam.

Through six discussion sessions, the delegates will highlight the need for innovation in Party newspapers, as well as measures to enhance the content quality to maintain the position of Party newspapers.

The conference will also discuss digital transformation and technological application in journalism, how to build readership with multi-channel and multi-platform journalism and how to diversify the revenue sources for news agencies.
