This event marks the first cultural project to be established under a public–private partnership (PPP) model in the field of culture and tourism in Sa Pa Ward, with the joint participation of local authorities, public service units, and the business and cooperative community.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Pham Tien Dung, Vice Chair of the People’s Committee of Sa Pa Ward, said that Sa Pa has long been renowned for its majestic natural beauty, its cool climate throughout the year, and especially for the diverse and rich cultural heritage of the H’Mong, Dao, Tay, Giay and Xa Pho ethnic communities.
The area is not only one of Viet Nam’s leading tourist destinations but also a place where national cultural quintessence converges, featuring traditional festivals, sophisticated handicrafts, vibrant brocade costumes, and folk dances, panpipe performances and courtship singing imbued with strong ethnic identity.
The opening of the “Sa Pa – Quintessence Convergence” cultural space introduces a new and distinctive tourism product aimed at preserving and promoting the cultural heritage values of ethnic communities, vividly recreating communal living spaces with rammed-earth houses, blacksmithing, brocade embroidery, weaving, along with seasonal artistic installations.
Through this, the initiative offers residents and visitors memorable experiences, helps stimulate tourism demand, promotes local socio-economic development, and at the same time creates additional livelihoods for ethnic communities in the area.
