Symphony concert “Girls Deserve to Shine” to be replay on social network

Aiming to cheer up Vietnam during the combat against the pandemic, and to show solidarity, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Vietnam will replay the symphony concert “Girls Deserve to Shine” on social network Facebook on August 6 and 7.

Accordingly, the concert will be aired on the UNFPA Vietnam fanpage at: https://www.facebook.com/unfpa.vietnam, at 8.00 pm on August 6, 2021, and at 3.00 pm on August 7, 2021.

Earlier, the Concert was organised at the Hanoi Opera House in November last year by UNFPA in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MOCST) and the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra.

The concert aims to raise public awareness and increase the value of the girl child in the context of addressing domestic violence and gender-biased sex selection in Vietnam.

The symphony concert features promising and outstanding young female soloists, connecting people, women and men, boys and girls, from different socio-cultural backgrounds in different parts of Vietnam and the world.

The audience will have an opportunity to enjoy famous works including Piano Concerto no.23 in A Major, K.488, by W.A.Mozart; “Air” from Orchestral Suite no.3 by J.S.Bach; “Meditation from Thais” by J.Massenet; and “Habanera” by G. Bizet - Opera Solo.
