Speaking at the festival, Deputy PM Dam emphasised that the COVID-19 pandemic has caused severe losses of life and property as well as exposed the weaknesses of the health system. However, the unity and mutual support of Vietnamese people have been upheld.

He noted that, despite many difficulties and challenges, the country has gained great achievements under the leadership of the Party and State. Specifically, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and member organisations have promoted their important roles in gathering the whole community and building the great unity block.

The Deputy PM asked Dong Nai provincial authorities to continue to strengthen and consolidate the great unity, with a focus on caring for the people’s material and spiritual lives and implementing treatment regimes for policy beneficiaries and people who are living in difficult circumstances.

He also expressed his hope that the locals will join hands with the local Party committees and authorities to help the country become more beautiful and civilised.
