Lang Son is also the first locality to transfer 100% of school activities to a digital platform and is ranked 6th nationwide in terms of successful transactions on Vietnam's e-commerce platforms.
The provincial Department of Information and Communications said Lang Son’s pilot digital border gate platforms at the Huu Nghi and Tan Thanh border gates saw 100% of trucks declared online, with their declaration duration taking only about two to five minutes.

The Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee issued Resolution No.49-NQ/TU dated September 28, 2021, on the digital transformation of Lang Son province by 2025, with an orientation to 2030. Lang Son was one of six provinces and cities in the country to issue a resolution of the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee to lead and comprehensively direct the local digital transformation.
The provincial digital transformation model in Lang Son is an overall and comprehensive model with 5 pillars: digital transformation in Party agencies, development of digital government, digital economy, digital society, and digital border gates. Digital transformation must be implemented by the entire population comprehensively and simultaneously.
It is considered a breakthrough solution to realize the goals of socio-economic development, administrative reform, enhancing capacity, efficiency, and transparency; striving for the goal that by 2025, Lang Son province is in the group of 10 leading cities and provinces in the country for digital transformation.
