The WIN World AI Index Survey 2025 is a global initiative measuring the perception, understanding and preparation for the rise of Artificial Intelligence from people across 40 countries on five continents including Asia, Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Oceania.

In Viet Nam, the survey was carried out by Indochina Research for respondents in four major cities between December 2024 and January 2025. As a result, Viet Nam scored 59.2 out of 100 on the index.

Viet Nam made a remarkable impression thanks to a dynamic and open-minded urban population that is enthusiastic and confident about new technologies. Notably, the country surpassed many developed countries in terms of openness and optimism toward AI. From curiosity to optimism, Viet Nam is demonstrating clear signs of readiness to embrace and seize opportunities in the AI era.

Viet Nam ranks third globally in AI trust (65.6 points) and 5th in AI acceptance (71.6 points). Indicators measuring interest, comfort in using AI, and awareness of its usefulness among Vietnamese respondents also exceed the global average. These are clear signals that trust in digital technology is growing steadily within Vietnamese society.

However, actual usage remains relatively modest, with Viet Nam ranking 17th out of 40 countries. Survey data collected by Indochina Research in four major cities of Viet Nam reveals that around 60% of urban citizens have used AI, but daily use remains low (3%). AI use is strongest among young people in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City.
