The event is organised by the Mac Huong Buddhist Artists group in collaboration with artists from Ha Noi-based UNESCO centre.
This is a familiar art meeting point every Lord Buddha’s birthday anniversary. More than just an art exhibition, “Early Summer Lotus IX” opens up a space for the intersection of art and Buddhist spirit.
The exhibition brings together 55 works by 37 artists, with diverse materials and styles: from lacquer, oil paint, silk, watercolour to acrylic, sculpture…; from traditional realism to abstract language, simultaneity, and contemporary expression, each work possesses its own unique character, reflecting the artist’s inner journey.
Beyond aesthetic value, the exhibition also demonstrates the role of art in conveying the spirit of Buddhism closer to the contemporary public. Painting and sculpture here have become means of popularising the Dharma through emotion, cultural depth, and spiritual connection.
The exhibition opens a space for viewers not only to appreciate art but also to find peace and tranquillity amidst the modern pace of life – where beauty and the spirit of enlightenment coexist in every colour of the early summer lotus.
