The information was announced by Deputy Director of the Hanoi Promotion Agency (HPA) Nguyen Thi Mai Anh at a press briefing held in Hanoi on September 20.
Anh said that this is the first time that Hanoi will organise the Autumn Festival and a space displaying Hanoi cuisine, on the occasion of the Capital Liberation Day (October 10).
The festival will showcase 150 booths from the People’s Committees of 10 districts of Hoan Kiem, Me Linh, Quoc Oai, Ung Hoa, Ba Dinh, Nam Tu Liem, Cau Giay, Dong Anh, Ba Vi and Gia Lam.
The event will also feature various activities including art performances, a photo exhibition on Hanoi’s autumn, an ‘ao dai’ performance, a carnival, a Hanoi cuisine experience space, and a conference on MICE and Golf tourism, among others.
In addition, the event will also see the participation of Thang Long Hanoi Heritage Conservation Centre, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Hanoi chapter, Hanoi Tourist Corporation, Hanoi Handicraft and Craft Villages Association, Vietnam Cuisine Culture Association, Hanoi Tourism Association, and Vietnam Royal Chefs Association.
Moreover, 14 provinces and cities across the country will introduce their local tourism products and services at the event.
