This was a key activity within the framework of the Ha Noi International Exhibition on Energy and Environmental Technology.

The forum aimed to promote the development of renewable energy technology, improve the technology absorption capacity of Vietnamese enterprises and support the implementation of net zero emission targets according to Viet Nam's commitment at the United Nations Climate Change Summit.

In his opening speech, Deputy Director of the Ha Noi Department of Industry and Trade Nguyen Dinh Thang said that Viet Nam is currently facing an increasing demand for energy, especially in the context of strong economic development and the goal of becoming a high-income country by 2045.

According to the forecast of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, electricity demand will grow by about 8-10% per year in the coming years. In addition to the problem of fossil energy sources such as coal, oil and gas gradually being depleted and causing harm to the environment, electricity demand poses a great challenge in ensuring a stable and sustainable energy supply.

This situation has also increased the pressure to find alternative energy solutions. Therefore, energy transition is not only an important task but also a key factor to ensure energy security, protect the environment and promote sustainable socio-economic development.

At the forum, speakers presented many papers on strategic orientations for science and technology development to support Viet Nam's energy transition; Korea's experience in renewable energy policies and technologies; market greening strategies, cooperation opportunities with the Asian Green Network, etc.

Representatives of many enterprises operating in the field of environmental energy technology also introduced solutions on green transportation, battery systems, electric vehicles, electricity storage, renewable energy, etc., contributing to reducing emissions and promoting sustainable energy.

Speakers also made recommendations on financial mechanisms, tax incentives and international cooperation to enhance technological capacity and build a sustainable energy ecosystem.
