This information was announced at a press conference held in Hanoi on March 4.

This year's festival, supported by the Hanoi People's Committee, is co-organised by the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF), the Francophone University Agency (AUF), and the Group of Francophone Embassies, Delegations, and Institutions in Hanoi (GADIF).

Accordingly, the festival is set to commence at 5:30 PM on March 28, offering complimentary admission to visitors from 10 AM to 10 PM on Saturday, March 29, and from 10 AM to 8 PM on Sunday, March 30.

Speaking at the press conference, French Ambassador to Vietnam Olivier Brochet highlighted the importance of the event in reinforcing connections between France, Francophone nations, and Vietnam. "This event facilitates significant dialogue and the exchange of experiences by uniting institutional, economic, and cultural organisations, thereby strengthening both bilateral and multilateral relations," he remarked.

Three primary activities will be included in this year's festival: the third edition of the Francophone Run around Bay Mau Lake, an exhibition displaying products from France and other Francophone nations, and a study abroad fair entitled "I Study, I Act", which is designed for young individuals seeking to further their education at French-speaking universities.

Featuring more than 40 booths, the food fair aims to highlight the exquisite elements of French gastronomy, encompassing a variety of offerings such as bread, cheese, chocolate, fruit, wine, and distinctive agricultural products branded under the "Taste France" initiative.

In addition, exhibition areas organised by the French Embassy will facilitate cultural exchanges, interactive activities, and provide valuable information regarding France’s industries, tourism, and educational opportunities.

A specific section will be designated for universities in Hanoi to showcase their French-language academic programmes, in addition to a job forum that will link students with prospective employers, thereby creating pathways to promising career prospects for the youth.

Renowned artists such as Thanh Tu & Etienne, Sophie de Quay, Ha Myo, Bui Cong Nam, and Kay Tran will be showcased as part of the festival’s music lineup.

While speaking at the press conference, Pierre Du Ville, Chairman of GADIF, emphasised: "The combination of French cultural exploration with sports and educational activities creates a well-rounded event that strengthens the Francophone community and brings together those with a passion for French culture in Vietnam."
