Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan underscored the crucial role of consumers in driving sustainable development. “Consumers are no longer followers—they are the trailblazers. Their responsible choices can push businesses to transform their production models toward sustainability,” he stated.
The programme aligns with Viet Nam’s commitments under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP26), and aims to promote green markets, transparency, and responsible consumption. It also supports green startups, innovation linked to sustainable production, and information-sharing mechanisms among the state, enterprises, and academia.
As part of the programme, the 2025 exhibition on promoting sustainable production and consumption, themed “Sustainable consumption towards a green era,” featured 50 booths from over 30 domestic and international enterprises. The event showcased eco-friendly products and solutions, aiming to inspire a culture of green living and responsible consumption.
Complementary talk shows included “Green enterprises – The journey towards sustainability,” sharing real-world green innovation models, and “Greening life – From ideas to action,” spotlighting sustainable lifestyles and natural-material products in retail and commercial spaces.
Popular rapper Den Vau also attended, sharing his message as a conscious consumer: “Choosing a green lifestyle brings peace and nurtures love for oneself, family, and society.” His presence served as a powerful bridge to youth audiences.
The event was jointly organised by the National Competition Commission, the Department of Innovation, Green Transformation and Industrial Promotion (Ministry of Industry and Trade), and the Voice of Viet Nam online newspaper.
