The Ho Chi Minh City’s sports delegation contributed 119 athletes to the national delegation to SEA Games 32, who competed across 27 sports events.
The athletes brought home 31 golds, 24 silvers, and 20 bronze medals, exceeding their set target.
Under a decision approved by the Ho Chi Minh municipal People’s Committee, male and female gold medallists will receive bonuses worth 74 million VND and 80 million VND each.
The bonuses for male and female silver medallists were 44 million VND and 47 million VND, and for and bronze medallists were 35 million VND and 37.5 million, respectively.
The same day, the delegation of outstanding coaches and athletes offered incense and flowers to President Ho Chi Minh at his statue in Nguyen Hue Street.
